Every time I try the Fix Account process on my laptop, I get an email (I see it on my email on my phone) from Yahoo! that says "your account was used to sign in to a new third party application for Mail and Calendar. I go through Google to get it on my cell phone. I can access my email from my phone, using the att.net email address. I don't know if that makes any difference. The Username that was sent to me via email, is a very old email address that I haven't used in over 15 years, with a extension. I thought maybe I needed to use a Username (which I did not remember), so I clicked on Forgot my Username. It didn't work and I got the error message noted above. When I first realized my email was not updating on my laptop, I tried to fix it using my att email address.
We're sorry but we weren't able to do that. I click on Agree and I get the following error message "Something went wrong. Yahoo Contacts, Yahoo Calendar, Yahoo Mail", etc. After I put that in, another window pops up that shows my email address and says "by agreeing you allow Mail and Calendar to Access".and then a number of choices I can check off, i.e. Then another window pops up and asks for my email address and current password. I click on Fix Account, and it asks for my email or username, and I put in my att email. I have a choice to Fix Account or Dismiss.
When I click on the icon to view my mail, it says "your account settings are out-of-date". It stopped updating around the middle of March, 2022. my email has an att.net extension ( I am using Mail or Calendar for Windows 10.
